The second song written & simultaneously recorded for this album. It was the one that sculpted the shape of the album, being the second track in a row concerning the two heavenly bodies that represent the opposing modes of the day. I was living completely alone in a giant apartment room in the middle of nowhere. All my friends had become estranged, and I couldn't find work. My car was frozen in a brick of ice from not being driven, so I was trapped there except for when my friend & soon to be lover would visit. I didn't realize it then, but her presence in my life was definitely like the moon's in the night sky... Balancing the blackness with just enough light to see the way forward.
